Musoc is proud to present the 2010 season of Reefer Madness!
Reefer Madness chronicles the Harper Affair – the tragic tale of a young man’s life turned horribly and farcically on its head by the demon drug, Marijuana. With it’s over-the-top humour and catchy songs, not to mention orgies, Jesus, zombies, and cannibalism, this is one trip you don’t want to miss!
Shows on 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20 March at the Ngaio Marsh Theatre.
Don’t miss out, book now!
Tickets $10 Students, $15 Adults – available from Unimart or the Court Theatre
Sunday 14 is the Gala Night – all tickets $30, and they include a free drink and nibbles at Brasilia Wine Bar before the show.
This year promises to be a fantastic year for Musoc, with two major musical productions, as well as many other workshops and social events. We’ve finished casting for our March production of Reefer Madness and we’re really really excited about how things are shaping up – the read-through was fantastic and rehearsals are getting underway!
A big thanks to all those who attended the Rocky Horror Experience on 29th May! Photos will be posted here later this week! If you have any, email them to us at (admin at musoc dot org dot nz)! Don’t be shy now!
Musical Nights!
While we’re waiting to do another show, we’ll be continuing to hold Musical Nights- at least one a term, where we watch and celebrate some of our favourite musical films! It would be great to see you all there, especially the old gang! If you have any suggestions for nights to come, feel free to email us at the above address…
The next Musical Night will be held on July 31st… we won’t tell you what it will be yet, but here’s a hint: it’s going to be a MUSICAL MOVIE MARATHON – we’ll be watching both the original and the recent re-make of a certain marvellous musical, back-to-back! Stay tuned for more details!
Proposals!
We now have a couple of proposals for Musicals both this year and next year, and some expressions of interest from people wanting to be involved on in production teams, but we’re still taking proposals for shows for the end of this year, and for the beginning of next year, so anyone with an idea, and anyone (experience not required) interested in being on production teams should contact Merryn, Club President at president@musoc.org.nz!
